Intro To Pwntools

This room covered the set of tools called Pwntools. Pwntools is “a CTF framework and exploit development library. Written in Python, it is designed for rapid prototyping and development, and intended to make exploit writing as simple as possible”. The room focused on using built-in tools such as checksec and cyclic to write binary exploits. These generally focused on overloading memory to change the function or output of a program, with the end goal of getting a root shell.
